East Village, Chobham Manor and the new flats round the park
The Council Tax stock for the neighbourhood round E15 1GR counts 5,710 properties, and 3,280 were built in 2015 or later: 57.7% of the homes with a recorded build date. In Stratford Olympic Park ward the 2021 Census found 94.2% of households in flats and 50.7% renting privately. East Village, the former Athletes' Village, has had residents moving in from November 2013 and now has over 2,800 homes and about 6,000 people, with 2,000 more homes planned. Chobham Manor, the first new neighbourhood on the park, took its first residents in 2016; its 859 homes include town houses, mews houses and maisonettes as well as flats.

Between the park and the Broadway, the building work is older housing being remade. The Carpenters Estate next to Stratford station has an approved plan (LLDC, February 2024) for 2,152 homes, half of them for social rent. The plan retrofits 314 of the existing homes, starting with the James Riley Point tower as 132 homes at social rent. Round the Broadway, St John's Church (1834) and the Old Town Hall (opened 1869) stand in a conservation area designated in January 1984.
