Heston is semi-detached country: 39.6% of households in Heston East live in semis, and half the homes around it went up between 1919 and 1939. Complete After Builders cleans them after lofts, extensions and new kitchens; a 4-bed semi usually takes 3 cleaners for 4 hours, £392 all in.

Heston in numbers

Inter-war semis and the loft conversions that follow

Council Tax records put 51.7% of properties with a recorded build date in the Heston East area in the years 1919 to 1939, and the council's appraisal says the low-density housing south of the village sprang up with the Great West Road in the 1920s. Those houses are now being extended. Hounslow's own building control charges from March 2026 give a sense of the work: £1,240 for a single-storey extension of 10 to 40 square metres and £1,350 for a loft conversion under 60 square metres.

A loft in a 1930s semi puts dust down the whole stairwell, over every spindle and along the landing skirting. The crew starts in the new loft room, works down floor by floor and dusts the stair rails and door tops a second time before leaving, because the fine dust drifts down again. If the plastering and sanding left a heavy film, the page on construction dust cleaning explains the extra passes.

Heston Village, the M4 and the estates around it

Heston began as a hamlet in the parish of Isleworth. Heston Village conservation area, designated on 25 November 1974, is centred on the green and St Leonard's Church, listed Grade II*, with early eighteenth-century buildings close by and, unusually, the complete 1960s modernist Wheatlands Estate inside its boundary. The M4 cut through Heston in the late 1960s, and the appraisal says the area is now dominated for noise by the motorway to the north and Heathrow to the west. North of the village is the 1970s Heston Farm estate, with cross-shaped slab blocks, towers and terraces, and Osterley Park lines the eastern edge.

In the estates the jobs are flats, where the crew needs to know the floor, whether the lift works and where the van can stop. In the village and the inter-war streets they are houses, where the dust has two or three floors to travel through.

Convent Way and the new homes coming to Heston

On 19 March 2026 Hounslow's cabinet approved the next stage of rebuilding the Convent Way Estate, which could provide about 900 homes. Building has been going on for a while already: 520 homes in the Heston East area, 14.6% of the total, date from 2015 or later. New homes need a handover clean before anyone moves in, and that is a lighter, quicker job than an old house after a refurbishment: fine dust in the units and wardrobes, film on doors and appliances, labels on the glass and smears on new tiles and sanitaryware.

How much is a builders clean in Heston?

A 4-bed semi after a loft conversion usually takes 3 cleaners for 4 hours: £392 all in. A 3-bed semi after decorating only is nearer 2 cleaners for 4 hours at £272, and a 2-bed flat after a refurbishment 2 cleaners for 4 hours at £272. Each extra bathroom adds roughly an hour and a half of cleaner time. All of these are £30 per cleaner-hour plus £32 for equipment and detergents; our prices list every size.

If the house has a drive, keep it clear for the crew's van on the day. Where it does not and the street is controlled, a visitor permit is far simpler than suspending a bay, which in Hounslow costs £25 per bay per day plus a £40 admin fee and needs ten working days' notice. The same crews work in Cranford to the west, in Southall across the M4 and in Isleworth beyond Osterley Park, and skip and waste rules for the borough are on the page for the rest of Hounslow.

Questions people ask

Anything else? Ring 07418 351088.

Can you clean while we are still living in the house?

Yes, once the works are finished. The crew does not move personal belongings, food or crockery, so empty any cupboards you want cleaned inside and keep one room for your things.

How long does a 4-bed semi take after a loft conversion?

Usually 3 cleaners for 4 hours, £392 all in. A third bathroom or plaster trodden into the floors adds time, and photos let the office set the crew before the day.

Do you clean flats in the Heston Farm towers and slab blocks?

Yes. Tell the office the floor, whether the lift is working and where the van can stop, and a flat after a refurbishment is priced like any other.

Will the crew remove the old carpet the builders left behind?

No. Old carpet, offcuts and rubble go with the builder or a licensed waste carrier before the clean. The crew deals with the dust and residue.
